A scholarship, valued at $2,500, is awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Year Three or Four of any program in the School of Accounting and Finance or any program in the Faculty of Environment. Candidates must have a minimum overall average of 80%. Selection will be based on leadership contributions to social innovation, i.e., developing and deploying effective solutions to challenging and systemic social and/or environmental issues in support of social progress. Preference will be given to students involved in the United College GreenHouse, Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre, or Velocity. Financial need may also be taken into consideration; to that end, candidates are invited to explain what it would mean to them to receive this award. Interested students should apply by October 1. This fund is made possible by a donation from alumnus Upkar Arora (MAcc ’85).
