Title

Relativistic regimes of light-matter interactions

 Abstract

Advances in precision and relevant scales of experimental setups of light-matter interactions necessitate to improve the understanding of relativistic effects in the fruitful field of quantum optics. I present results obtained in quantum randomness generation, cavity quantum electrodynamics, and in the transformation properties of the interaction Hamiltonian that show the subtle but important effects if relativity is taken into account. In particular, the role of common approximations - like dimensional reduction, the single-mode or rotating-wave approximation - will be discussed.
