Applied Math Faculty successful in Canadian Foundation for Innovation grant applications

In 2013, seven Applied Math faculty members received support from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI). This federal government funding helps pay for equipment, building additions and other infrastructure associated with research. The projects being funded are:

Kirsten Morris (PI) and Brian Ingalls - Computing Infrastructure for Control of Complex Physical Systems.

Brian Ingalls (PI) and Matt Scott - Quantitative Data Collection for Model-Based Biotechnology.

Hans de Sterck (co-PI) - Research Infrastructure for Computational Analytics on Big Data in the Cloud (Ashraf Aboulnaga of Computer Science is the PI).

Kevin Lamb (PI), Francis Poulin and Marek Stastna - Computational Infrastructure for Three-dimensional Simulations of Environmental and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics.
