On September 20, Applied Math professors Hans De Sterck and Anita Layton hosted the first Math + X Inter-Faculty Research Workshop. The purpose was to bring together researchers from all Faculties at the University of Waterloo to foster discussions and collaborations with the theme of Data+Computation for the 5 Global Futures, which the University has identified in its Waterloo at 100 Strategic Vision to address the most pressing challenges for humanity and our planet.
