2019 Graduate Lunch and Award Ceremony
We celebrated our graduate students with a lunch at the University Club at the end of April. Our MA and PhD students have worked very hard this year and are deserving of recognition. There are three awards given to MA students for Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics. The recipients of the awards are as follows:
Macroeconomics award: Ramsha Jaweed, MA student
Microeconomics award: Tong Zhou, MA student
Econometrics award: Wenzuo Xu and Oliver Loertscher, MA students
The Ken Stollery Graduate Memorial Award: Chulsoon Kim and Gray Boyko, MA students
The Nihar and Mina Bose scholarship: Renfang Tian, PhD student

2017 Graduate Student Dinner and Award Ceremony
The Economics Department hosted the 2017 Graduate Student Dinner on April 21st to celebrate the hard work, dedication and successes the Econ graduate students completed over the past year. It was a great evening for profs and students to connect outside of the classsroom.
Awards were given to students who had the highest grades in the following areas of study:
Microeconomics Award - Colin Wallace
Macroeconomics Award - Xin Li
Econometrics Award - Aidi Yu
This year's Ken Stollery Memorial Graduate Award, valued at $1,000, was given to PhD student, Allison Mascella.

The Ken Stollery Memorial Graduate Award was given to students who demonstrated academic excellence and outstanding research contributions. This year's recipients were PhD student's Jack Chen and Jordan Hill.
