Biography

Kelly has worked in industry for 30 years as a senior member of a Fortune 100 company, working specifically in Sales, Sales Training, and Marketing. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from McMaster University, a Bachelor of Education from Western, and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Management at the Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph.

Kelly has taught for 6 years at the university level and prior to that, taught adult education for the Toronto Board of Education and the Wellington Board of Education. Kelly also consults with companies across Canada doing seminars in Leadership, Resilience, Change Management, Retirement, and Mental Health. 

Kelly has received 3 separate research grants recognizing her research in Organizational Behaviour and specifically looks at older workers in the late stages of their careers as they cross into retirement. She has several published papers in academic journals and teaches at both the Lang School of Business & Economics at the University of Guelph and the School of Economics at the University of Waterloo. 

She sits on the Lang School of Business & Economics Diversity & Inclusion Committee. In support of her research, she is setting up a Community of Practice on Aging and Work at the University of Guelph. She is also initiating a process of certification as an Age Friendly University (AFU Certification) for the University of Guelph.
