The Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo invites you to an online new faculty social on Wednesday, August 11, at 11:00 a.m., on Microsoft Teams. Bring your questions—for us, or for each other—or just come to meet your colleagues!
Get to know your fellow new faculty members! This informal event, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. on February 11, is open to all faculty who still feel "new."

This is a really strange time to be starting a new job. It's hard to meet fellow new faculty in other parts of Waterloo at any time, but this year is even harder. To help combat the isolation, the Faculty Association invites new faculty members to gather on Zoom this summer to meet colleagues from across campus who are also going through this experience.
The Working Group on Sexual and Gender Diversity is hosting a follow-up to the last term's lunch event in the form of an informal drop-in coffee event for LGBTQ2S+ faculty and staff, including postdoctoral researchers, sessional instructors, research professors, and other employee groups at UW!
This is a drop-in, so don't feel pressured to be there for the whole time, but feel free to come when you can, grab some coffee, and hopefully meet some new people! Coffee should be arriving shortly after 2:00 p.m.
The Faculty Association of University of Waterloo (FAUW), the University of Waterloo Staff Association (UWSA), the Renison Association of Academic Staff (RAAS), and the St. Jerome's University Academic Staff Association (SJU-ASA) invite Indigenous employees of University of Waterloo and the Affiliated and Federated Institutions of Waterloo to lunch on us Monday, February 24, at noon in Hagey Hall 373.
Drop by to meet other lecturers from across campus at the Grad House on January 22 between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m
Thursdays in the Fall and Winter, the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre hosts a free soup lunch, prepared and served by a different campus group or department each week. All members of the Waterloo community are welcome.
FAUW's Indigenization Working Group will be serving soup on January 23 this year.
