Convocation is a special time for our graduates to celebrate their achievements with family and friends.
University of Waterloo's Spring Convocation ceremony for the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences (AHS) takes place Tuesday, June 11 at 10 a.m. in the Physical Activities Complex (PAC).
We will be celebrating all graduands, as well as the following recipients:
Toby Jenkins – Honorary Doctorate
Tasha McFarland - President's Award of Excellence, and Highest Academic Achievement (Kinesiology)
Mathuiri Sithganesan - AHS Alumni Gold Medal
Roslyn Fried - Highest Academic Achievement (Recreation and Leisure Studies)
Sarah Brubacher - Highest Academic Achievement (Public Health and Health Systems)
Celia Laur - Outstanding Achievement in Graduate Studies Award
David Uponi – Valedictorian

Faculty: Join our graduating students on their big day. The Convocation website has a form you can use to sign up for the procession or to volunteer.

The event will also be available via Livestream.
Share messages of congratulation, photos, and memories of your convocation day with #UWaterlooGrad. A live Twitter feed will be displayed before the ceremonies in the Physical Activities Complex.
Pre-convocation reception
Applied Health Sciences graduands and their guests are also invited to a special celebratory reception with light refreshments from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. per invitation. Graduands should pick up their graduation gown and lineup/name card in the PAC small gym before joining family and friends for the pre-convocation breakfast.
Post-convocation reception
After the ceremony, you’ve officially graduated but the celebration doesn’t end yet. You and your family are invited to follow the red carpet into the Student Life Centre (SLC) for pictures, diploma frames, a delicious cupcake display and more! If you haven’t done so already, you can also pick up your composite in the SLC.
