Declaring minors

Writing math on whiteboard

A minor can be a great way for students to explore their interests and diversify their studies. Pursuing a minor as part of your degree will provide you with additional knowledge or skills. As long as you meet the requirements, you can choose minors that complement your major – or choose minors that are very different.

Please review the information below that outlines the admission requirements and relevant program advisor to contact if you are interested in declaring a minor within the Faculty of Mathematics.

For students from other faculties, you may visit plans for students outside of Math. If you are a Math student hoping to pursue a minor outside of the Faculty of Math, then you can explore below to make sure you are eligible for that minor. If you have questions about declaring the minor, speak to the relevant academic advisor.
