The Bernoulli Trials Contest (PDF) was held on Saturday, March 7th.
This is a recreational contest in which contestants are given a sequence of statements, and they must decide (or guess) whether the statements are true or false.
This year, contestants were being eliminated after their third incorrect answer.
The
first,
second,
third
and
last
place
prizes
consisted
of
70,
50,
28
and
22
dollars (in
recent
years,
it
has
become
fashionable
to
deliberately
give
incorrect
answers, so
the
prize
for
last
place
is
not
offered
out
of
pity).
