Bernoulli Trials Contest

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

The Bernoulli Trials Contest (PDF) was held on Saturday, March 7th.

This is a recreational contest in which contestants are given a sequence of statements, and they must decide (or guess) whether the statements are true or false.

This year, contestants were being eliminated after their third incorrect answer.

The first, second, third and last place prizes consisted of 70, 50, 28 and 22 dollars (in recent years, it has become fashionable to deliberately give incorrect answers, so the prize for last place is not offered out of pity).

Congratulations to the three first place winners:
1st:   Tianxiao Liu
2nd:  Yi Shan
3rd:   Letian Chen

and also to the last place winner
last: Zhengyu Gu
