Meet the MME Graduate Association (MMEGA)

“Hello and Welcome to the graduate-level MME programs’ students here at the University of Waterloo. I hope you enjoy your journey here, gain useful skills and experience a memorable lifestyle. No matter which program you are in, Ph.D., MASc, or M.Eng, MMEGA tries to enhance graduate life quality by holding different casual and educational events. MMEGA also tries to improve communication within the department and introduce the services provided by the department to you. As all the graduate students are considered members of our association, we hope to see you at our events and on our social media. ”
What is MMEGA?
MMEGA is the graduate student association for all MME graduate students. We represent MME grads at the graduate student association (GSA) level and at the MME department level where we seek the best interest of MME grad students. We also aim to promote interactions between all MME graduate students through a variety of event all year round (be on the lookout for them!).
Top 3 things you should know as a graduate student:
- It's okay to ask for help when you are stuck, there are people around to help
- Get a reference manager like Endnote, Mendeley or Zotero
- Take great care of your mental and physical health
