SAF Student Clubs and Organizations:

• Accounting and Finance Student Association (AFSA) - Student government for the AFM, Biotech/CPA, CFM, and Math/CPA students

• Accounting and Finance Endowment Fund (AFEF)

• hEDGE Conference - student run national finance conference

• University of Waterloo Accounting Conference (UWAC) - student run national accounting conference

• Accounting and Finance Orientation Week (AFOW) - student run orientation week for SAF (AFM, Biotech/CPA, CFM, and Math/CPA) students

• ACE Consulting - student run pro-bono consulting group

• Non-Profit Organization Consulting (NPOC) - providing pro-bono accounting and business consultation services to non-profit organizations. Iris, an executive member of NPOC, shares about her experience with the club. She says:

My involvement with NPOC means being a good steward to the community and sharing my skills and knowledge with organizations and people who can really benefit from the support we provide.

• UWaterloo Women in Finance -  student run initiative to promote careers in finance for women

• Young Tax Professionals - This program offers excellent students who have an interest in a career in taxation the opportunity to closely interact with faculty, alumni and other full-time tax professionals. Students gain a deeper understanding of career options, develop some key skills needed for tax practice, and learn about current issues and specialty areas within the field. 

Student groups across campus:

• Arts Student Union (ASU) - the Faculty of Arts student government
• UW DECA - an international student organization that joins college and university students together to engage in business related activities.
• Academic societies for nearly every arts major
• Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA) - UW's student government
