Ms. Kate Dawson: BSc Biology/English Minor ’06
Kate is the face of a young female scientist for thousands of children across Ontario. Students of all ages on field trips to the Ontario Science Centre (OSC) meet her as an enthusiastic educator.
She also shares her passion for biology as a teacher at the on-site Science School. Kate donates her time and talent to the Centre’s Glee Club, the OSCillations, who have appeared on Canada Sings to promote the OSC’s Adopt-a-Class program. Her tireless efforts combined with plenty of teamwork have raised over $20 000 for the program, which allows underprivileged children to attend the OSC. In addition to contributing to science education of Canadian children, Kate also volunteers her skills as administrative director for a Toronto reading series showcasing top Canadian authors.
