Fall Break 2018 details

No classes on October 8-10. October 11 classes follow a Tuesday schedule. October 12 classes follow a Wednesday schedule.

The first holiday of the term is Thanksgiving; Monday, October 8. There are also no classes on Tuesday, October 9 and Wednesday, October 10 for Fall Break Study Days. Students should be back on campus for classes on Thursday, October 11 – following the Tuesday class schedule - and on Friday, October 12 – following the Wednesday class schedule.

Update on fire incident on campus – Impact to class schedules

A number of buildings (CEIT, STC, Physics, Biology 1 and Biology 2 and ESC) on campus experienced small fires.

All fires were successfully extinguished, though some buildings may show some signs of the fire department’s activities and have a residual “campfire” odour. As a matter of precaution, some areas of STC, Biology 1 and Physics will remain closed until a full assessment can be completed.

Goose Watch 2018 is live!

How to avoid a goose attack: Back away, Maintain direct eye contact, Be assertive (not aggressive), Keep calm and don't run.

Goose Watch begins today here at the University of Waterloo. During nesting season, Canadian geese can become aggressive and territorial. Goose Watch is a mapping application that helps students, staff and faculty navigate around goose nest locations on campus.
