All employees at the University of Waterloo have access to Microsoft Copilot, an AI-powered assistant designed to help you work more efficiently. It can be used for public data and Waterloo-specific data within the confines of Waterloo's responsible use guidelines.
How can it help with curriculum submissions? Although it will not be able to read or analyze content within Kuali Curriculum Management (as authentication is required), it can be used to improve its contents. Some examples of tasks that Copilot can be prompted to do:
- Create or compare an abbreviated course title using available guidelines.
- Compose a rationale based on a change being made when you provide current and proposed state.
- Make suggestions to improve a course description or academic regulation text.
What else have you used it for? Share your ideas with the Office of the Registrar!
