This introductory workshop presents the basic concepts of GIS and will teach you the skills you need to find geospatial data, map it, and discover new dimensions of information.

This is an introduction ESRI's latest connected and optimized GIS software.

The workshop presents the same basic concepts of Getting Started with ArcGIS on the new Arc Pro platform

LIDAR Eastern Acquisition Project (LEAP), Digital Terrain Model (DTM) (2009)

LIDAR Eastern Acquisition Project (LEAP), Digital Terrain Model (DTM) 2009 consists of a 1 metre resolution Digital Terrain Model based upon elevation information derived from returns collected by an airborne lidar sensor. The data was acquired and delivered during May and December 2009.

Kitchener Historical Street Project (1853 - 1992)

This web map, created by the Geospatial Centre, shows the City of Kitchener's road network for various decades ranging from 1853 to 1992. This data was derived from digitized copies of old street maps of the city. It is intended to showcase the change in Kitchener's road network over the course of this time frame.

Region of Waterloo Historical Streets

Derived from Fire Insurance Plans, this project shows the historical street networks of different years and different cities within the Region of Waterloo. Story Map is used to graphically illustrate the street network with street name metadata.

Atlas of Sustainable Development Goals

The Atlas of Sustainable Development Goals 2018 is built around World Development Indicators - the World Bank's compilation of statistics from over 200 economies about global development and the quality of people's lives.

City of Cambridge municipal data update (2018)

Received from the City of Cambridge 2018 municipal data updates including: zoning, parcels, sanitation, steam and storm management files.

City of Toronto digital orthoimagery 2017

2017 orthoimagery was received June 2018 from the Geospatial Competency Centre, Mapping Services, City of Toronto. Imagery was taken March 23rd, April 13th , 23rd, 24th and covers the entire City of Toronto.

DMTI 2018 data updates

Received from DMTI, 2018 data updates including: water, vegetation, transportation, (oil, gas, mines), forestry, hydro, government data, enhanced points of interest, elevation (points & 10 metre contours), business and economy, building structures, address points, address locator.
