This web map, created by the Geospatial Centre, shows the City of Kitchener's road network for various decades ranging from 1853 to 1992. This data was derived from digitized copies of old street maps of the city. It is intended to showcase the change in Kitchener's road network over the course of this time frame.
Derived from Fire Insurance Plans, this project shows the historical street networks of different years and different cities within the Region of Waterloo. Story Map is used to graphically illustrate the street network with street name metadata.

2017 orthoimagery was received June 2018 from the Geospatial Competency Centre, Mapping Services, City of Toronto. Imagery was taken March 23rd, April 13th , 23rd, 24th and covers the entire City of Toronto.

As part of a much larger project to digitize building footprints from the Region of Waterloo Fire Insurance Plans, Geospatial Centre staff digitized the building parcels from the 1908 Kitchener Fire Insurance Plans (based on the zonal subdivision (1-54).
Received from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR), 2 metre digital elevation models (DEMS) that cover Southern Ontario and parts of the northeast and northwest of Ontario.
Received from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, NWOOP covers approximately 22,700 kilometres square in northwest Ontario and was taken during leaf off conditions between May 7 and May 19, 2017. The 4 band Red Green Blue Near infrared (RGB-NIR) imagery has a pixel resolution of 20 cm and is available in 1 km tiles.
This full colour orthoimagery covers the entire City of Vancouver. The data was downloaded from the City of Vancouver's website: http://vancouver.ca/your-government/open-data-catalogue.aspx . These full colour images were captured in late April. Ground resolution for 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011 is 10 cm. 2013 and 2015 imagery has 7.5 cm resolution.
