Maybe it's time for a coach, an ally who can help you sort through where you are and where you want to go.

Think about it, what top performer doesn't use a coach? Athletes, actors and professional speakers work with experts to achieve their goals. The corporate world is now recognizing the value of coaching to develop leaders and strong team players, and many companies provide access to professional services to support their staff's performance.

Doug Turner (physics) started True Balance Coaching in 2003 to help people of all ages and stages of life to realize their potential and achieve their desired level of success in their career, sporting aspirations and personal lives. He has helped coach people from all walks of life to support them while they cross the 'gap' from where they are today to where they dream of being. Students, athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, business people, parents, housewives have all benefitted from Doug's coaching. His credo is "Add a Zero".

As Doug explains it, working with a coach privately enables you to explore any area of your life, not just workplace effectiveness. For example, coaches can help in areas of health, finances, relationships and family life. You decide what your priorities are and the coach will help you form meaningful goals. The coach will hold the bar high for you and help lead you to be accountable to yourself. You'll learn to discard things that are dragging you down, and create opportunities for easier results.

He would love nothing more than to help others achieve their desired level of success “do things right" while keeping life in balance "do the right things."

Living in Vancouver doesn't necessarily mean his clients live there too. In fact, Doug does the majority of his work over the phone, Email and as a guest lecturer at international conferences.  He is a graduate of the Coach U training program, is currently training as a corporate Coach and is an associate coach at the University of British Columbia.

Doug credits his family as his constant source of inspiration and his love of teaching and helping others the driving force behind his company's success. He would love nothing more than to help others achieve their desired level of success "do things right" while keeping life in balance "do the right things"

And as a special gift to our newest alumni, the Class of 2009, Doug has kindly offered each alumnus a month of free life coaching to help them prepare for the world after Convocation.
