Last evening, we celebrated our brilliant Science students from years one to four for their excellence and leadership in our vibrant academic community. It was a night filled with inspiring presentations, delicious food, and recognition of over 150 awards and leadership positions held by our undergraduate students. Students, faculty, and staff mingled and networked after the event, fostering new connections and friendships.

Science Distinguished Alumni of Honour Award:
This award is presented to Science students in their fourth year according to academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated leadership.

Schulich Leader Scholarship:
This award is provided by the Schulich Foundation and goes to entrepreneurial-minded high school graduates enrolling in a science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) program at 20 partner universities across Canada, including the University of Waterloo.

Shiloh Brawn Award for Women in Physics:
This award is presented annually to a full-time female undergraduate student in the Department of Physics & Astronomy. Selection is based on academic achievement and extracurricular involvement. In particular, this award recognizes students making an effort to advance women in science (e.g., involvement in FemPhys Club) and/or who have completed an Undergraduate Research Assistantship. This fund is made possible by a donation from the Brawn family in honour of their daughter and to encourage women to pursue an education in STEM.
