Program: Honours Physics

Stream of study: Co-op

Career goal: Either go into nuclear engineering or academia
How I get involved: I am a part of Science Society and I love it! From dressing up for the coffee and donut shop, to painting tote bags, I have so many amazing memories with them. I also attend PhysClub events and I was a Don.
Why I love my program
I get to learn how things work and to me, that is the coolest thing I could study. I loved physics in high school and decided that I had to major in it. The first time we derived the kinematics equations from calculus, I knew this was the right choice. Even on the hard days, I love what I learn and wake up excited to attend lecture. I also love the people in my program, they are some of the nicest, smartest, most caring people and I am so lucky to be surrounded by such a positive community.
Why University of Waterloo?
Coming to Waterloo open houses gave me hope for life after high school. The first time stepping on campus, I felt like I belonged. People encourage your passions, embrace who you are, and are just as interested in niche things as you. Waterloo has a great co-op program, and the professors are world class, but the reason I chose Waterloo was because from minute one, it felt like home. 5 years since my first visit, I can confidently say I made the right choice.
