Program: Honours Science, Minor in Biology

Year: 3

Stream of study: Regular

Pronouns: She/Her

Career goal: Dentistry

How I get involved: Currently, I am a science ambassador as well as a teaching assistant. I also enjoy doing research in labs, so I have been an undergraduate research assistant for a couple of months! In my free time, I write research summary articles for the Waterloo Students and Microbiology Club and play on a slow-pitch team!

Why I love my program

Honours Science allows me to explore courses of any interest, whether these are requirements for professional schools or courses of pure interest such as arts and research. This flexibility allows me to customize my degree in any way I would like, allowing me to get the best out of my time here at Waterloo.

Why University of Waterloo?

The University of Waterloo provides a strong academic and supportive environment where I could be pushed to do my best, both academically and in improving my well-being. The campus provides a variety of academic resources and fun clubs that helped me maintain a balanced student life. The biggest highlight for me would be the warm sense of community created by the Faculty professors and students; it is nice to always feel welcomed and cared for.
