How I get involved: For me, getting involved is all about stepping out of my comfort zone and putting myself out there. Trying new clubs can feel a bit intimidating at first, but exploring different opportunities off on a whim has worked out well for me. From becoming a science orientation leader to now being a science ambassador, each experience has allowed me to connect with new people.
Why I love my program
I’ve always known I wanted to do something related to science and medicine, so choosing biomedical science was a no-brainer. It perfectly combines both fields, giving me the best of both worlds. Not to mention, the name itself just sounds cool!
Why University of Waterloo?
Having done all my schooling in K-W, choosing UW felt like the natural next step. I’ve heard from so many alumni about how being a UW graduate opened doors for them. Plus, the university is finally getting the global recognition it deserves for being exceptional in so many areas.
