How I get involved: I am a teaching assistant (TA) and a volunteer notetaker with accessibility services for various courses. I am a member of the brain exercise initiative and the Pre-med club and I am currently on an intramural team for volleyball. Not only that, but I am a research assistant in the Department of Kinesiology where I study cardiovascular and pulmonary physiology. Furthermore, I am also completing my Undergraduate Thesis with the chemical engineering department, where I am using CRISPR-cas9 to express protein products in recombinant baculovirus expression vectors.
Why I love my program
Biomedical Sciences is amazing because it prepares me for various professional schools while allowing me the flexibility to do courses of my interest. The content is very intriguing to learn, and I love the engagement during labs and lectures. My teachers and classmates are amazing and motivate me to be successful. The course made me fond of learning and wanting to take my education to the highest level.
