How I get involved: My involvement in Waterloo has been in the Science Society, the faculty science club, in multiple roles such as peer mentor, survey coordinator and more! Furthermore, as a First Year Representative, I was in BUGS, the Biology Undergraduate Society. Getting involved in the Science clubs helped me make new friends and create a community I am glad to be part of!

Why I love my program

Since high school, I have had a strong interest in and curiosity for biology and all its associated topics. The biology program at Waterloo has allowed me to explore all branches of biology, with classes in zoology, ecology, cell biology, human physiology and more! With the classes, I have had the opportunity to take the associated lab, which is exciting with dissections, cell staining and more.

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose the University of Waterloo for various reasons, but one of the main reasons was the community in Waterloo. The Waterloo community has always been tight-knit, especially in the Science faculty. With student bonding events happening daily, study sessions and more! Especially being away from home in Alberta, I found my 2nd family with the Science community here at Waterloo!
