Program: Chemistry
Year: 4
Stream of study: Co-op
Pronouns: He/Him
Career goal: Exploring professional work and then teaching
How I get involved: I have been long involved in Science Orientation, last holding the role of O-Team. I have also participated in intramural hockey and work seasonally at ESQ; a STEM camp on campus that promotes and encourages youth to get more involve in STEM.
Why I love my program
I have loved studying chemistry since grade 9 science. Pursuing chemistry as a degree has allowed me to explore the topic deeper than I had ever imaged and has only increased my love for the subject.
Why University of Waterloo?
Waterloo is a semi-local university for me so it provided a comfortable balance between nearness to home while still being far enough away to be independent. I was also drawn by its reputation as a top school for studying STEM and had come to love the campus over my times visiting.
