How I get involved: I get involved currently as a Science Ambassador! As well, I've taken part in my university's Chem Lab Days, where I helped high school students, along with fellow volunteers, to try out various lab activities on campus. I also volunteered in managing MATES' wellness lounge and worked with the Women's Centre at my university. Last term, I was also a student leader for a Girl Guides unit on campus, and I engage in various other science outreach volunteer positions.
Why I love my program
It allows you to study a wide range of fields in science - covering various topics from biology, chemistry, and physics! It also gives room for lots of electives so you can choose minors or options you're interested in and really customize / tailor your degree to your passions.
Why University of Waterloo?
The comfortable and welcoming atmosphere on campus was a significant factor in why I decided to choose this university. I also greatly valued the strong reputation the university has for its various STEM programs.
