Happy Canada Day and Happy Birthday UW!

June 28th, 2017, may just have been the happiest day of the year.  Everyone was smiling as the UWSA, gave out over 2100 ice cream comes in six and a half hours.  In celebration of the University of Waterloo’s 6oth anniversary and Canada’s 150th birthday, the UWSA brought the Heavenly Dreams Ice Cream Truck to campus, where it travelled around giving out smiles.

Concert to support SASC

A vital local support service is receiving some support of its own.

“Michael Klein: Live!” is dedicating its June 8th concert and variety show as a benefit for the Sexual Assault & Support Centre (SASC) of Waterloo Region. Michael Klein organized the eponymous event to raise funds and awareness for the KW-based social service.

“I’m not sure that people are aware of the great work the SASC does around KW,” Klein says. “They perform a vital service, so if we can bring some attention and some much needed funding their way, that will only strengthen our community.”
