Unless you’re currently actively searching for a job, you may have quickly skimmed the message before getting on with the rest of your day. Before you do the same with this blog post, keep in mind that the time to familiarize yourself with a recruiting system is before an interesting opportunity comes up.
The UWO Staff Association (a union which represents nearly 1000 staff working in faculties and admin units across campus) is holding a general meeting on October 5 at which they’ll hold a strike vote. Their contract expired June 30.
The UWO Faculty Association is currently in the midst of a strike vote – they’re holding it Wed-Friday of this week.

The polls will open on Wednesday October 6, 2010 and close on Thursday October 21, 2010. The election results will be made official at the AGM Thursday October 28, 2010. More details on the election to follow.
