Mandatory Training
All individuals working at the University of Waterloo are required to complete specific online training modules. The mandatory training modules are listed on the Organizational & Human Development (OHD) website.
Orientation
Human Resources (HR) and OHD host an all-day orientation session for all Waterloo employees. There is approximately one session every month.
WatIAM
You will be required to set up a Waterloo Identity and Access Management (WatIAM) account. This user name and password gives you access to all Waterloo applications, such as email, network and wireless access, and Quest (information system for student registration, financial aid, and personal information).
Waterloo ID card (WatCard)
Visit the WatCard office located in Campus Tech on the Lower Level in the Student Life Centre to pick up your staff ID card.
Email, voice mail and wireless access
All employees are required to set up a Waterloo email account.
Information Systems & Technology (IST) provides a voice mail users guide to assist new and current employees manage their private "voice" mailbox. IST also provides a guide for staff/faculty/students to connect to the eduroam wireless network.
