This full day workshop, sponsored by adventure, will guide early-stage graduate students through some of the first phases of planning and writing a thesis or dissertation.

UWaterloo English's Lamees Al Ethari and Carrie Snyder and writer Tasneem Jamal facilitated the X Page Workshop, a SSHRC Connection Grant project in which immigrant and refugee women from the Waterloo region wrote stories based on their life experiences.

Come hear their work at Quilt of Stories, a storytelling performance about home and belonging.

The Writing and Communication Centre will be hosting its fall iteration of Speak like a Scholar from Monday, July 15^th to Thursday, July 18^th from 9am to 3pm each day.

This program is designed to help doctoral researchers develop their voices as independent scholars and give academic presentations such as dissertation defenses and conference papers with confidence.
