Lecturers year-end celebration

Recently, FAUW took an important step toward pay equity for lecturers by securing adjustments to faculty salary thresholds so they no longer unfairly disadvantage lecturers over the course of our careers. FAUW and the Lecturers’ Committee cordially invite all lecturers to join us at the Grad House as we celebrate this achievement.

Please come and socialize with your colleagues from around campus and enjoy some light refreshments.

New Faculty Welcome Social

The FAUW Board invites new faculty members to join us at Molly Bloom's at 2:30 p.m. on July 24 for a pint or a pop, and free snacks. We’ll also be dispensing free advice, should you want it. Bring any questions you have about how things work at Waterloo, or just come to meet your colleagues and enjoy some pub food.

RSVPs to laura.mcdonald@uwaterloo.ca are appreciated, but don't let a lack of RSVP prevent you from coming!

The why and how of territorial acknowledgements (an orientation for faculty)

Are you new to the Waterloo Region? Or perhaps you have heard a territorial acknowledgement and are unsure what it means. Join FAUW for an orientation to the University of Waterloo's location on Haudenosaunee, Anishnabeg and Attawandaron (Neutral) territory, what Indigenization is all about, and a discussion on our collective responsibilities towards reconciliation.
