Chef Daniel graduated from the Culinary Management Program at Niagara College in Ontario, after which he travelled across Canada. He worked at many of Canada’s finest hotels including the Banff Springs Hotel and The Lodge at Kananaskis with the Canadian Pacific Hotel Chain. He decided to join the UW Food Services team almost 19 years ago to provide stability for himself and his young family.
Chef Daniel is a strong believer in locally sourced foods and has a great respect for allergies and dietary restrictions. His creative style has helped to lead and guide the UW Catering team to create unique menus that range from quick and simple to complex and exquisite, never sacrificing quality, taste, service, or professional reputation. Currently Daniel is the Chef for one of our residence eateries, REVelation, in Ron Eydt Village.
Chef Daniel has had many accomplishments throughout his career which include leading a team of UW Food Services chefs to win the People’s Choice Award at the 2005 CCUFSA competition in Hamilton, Ontario. Daniel was awarded the Student High Achievement Award during his time in culinary school. This award is very special to him as he was voted by all the teachers for conducting himself professionally and always putting in his best effort academically.
