Chef Kylie's passion for food started at a young age. Upon graduating from high school, she seized the opportunity to become an apprentice with the Charcoal Group of Restaurants. She began honing her skills at Del Dante's where she fell in love with Italian cuisine and the art of handmade pasta. Through her hard work and dedication, Chef Kylie quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Sous Chef in just 5 years.
In 2013, Chef Kylie joined the UW Food Services team seeking a change of pace from the traditional restaurant setting and eager to take on new challenges in a dynamic environment. Since then, she has been a true all-rounder, working at every Food Services location, from student residences to catering, and a variety of on-campus locations. Her versatility and passion for food have made her a valuable member of the team.
Chef Kylie is a food connoisseur, with a love for both Italian and Mennonite cuisine. Her mastery in the kitchen is highlighted by her mouth-watering carbonara. Throughout her career, Chef Kylie has achieved many notable accomplishments, such as organizing a private dining menu at Del Dante's, participating in International Women's Day events, and improving processes at Mudies (Village 1). She is dedicated to providing top-notch service to students and enjoys expressing her culinary creativity through her ever-changing menus.
