Applied Mathematics PhD student, Nancy Soontiens, has won one of two
Golder Associates Graduate Scholarships for 2012-13. This annual
scholarship valued at $5,000 CAD is awarded to full-time University of
Waterloo graduate students on the basis of scholastic excellence and
demonstrated success in Water Research. It is administered by the
Water Institute.

Siv Sivaloganthan and Mohammad Kohandel, jointly with two researchers from Princess Margaret Hospital at Toronto, have received an Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada - Collaborative Health Research Projects (NSERC-CHRP) grant ($468,000, 2011-2013).
