Keep teaching and learning

With the transition back to face-to-face and hybrid offerings, there is an opportunity for us to take what we learned in the remote context and apply/use the "good" from the experiences to fostering an effective blended approach to teaching and learning.

Blended learning is the purposeful integration and alignment of online and in-person components. Online and in-person activities and course materials are selected to complement each other, to engage students and to achieve specified learning outcomes. Sometimes blended courses have reduced face-to-face time.

More about me

As a faculty liaison, I support instructors with teaching and learning initiatives and the effective integration of technology into face-to-face and blended learning course designs. My goal is to work alongside instructors to create a positive learning experience that both reflects their teaching philosophy and effectively meets students’ diverse needs. I enjoy consultations with instructors where we think critically about course design and explore opportunities for incorporating innovative learning activities.

I hold a MA in Education degree from McGill University, and a BA and BEd from Brock University. Prior to joining CTE, I worked as an accreditation assistant for the Faculty of Engineering and as an instructional support coordinator for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Programs. These positions gave me the opportunity to build relationships with instructors and students, apply expertise in course design, and create meaningful assessments and rubrics. I am always happy to discuss any topic related to teaching and learning, and especially welcome conversations about inclusive course design, reflection, and experiential learning.
