Christopher Lee, a UW Psychology graduate student working with Dr. Myra Fernandes, recently published his findings in the journal Brain Sciences. Lee's research shows that feeling anxious in a new situation may help you remember it more vividly. Like most things though, moderation is key since too much anxiety can also colour memories and cause people to remember neutral details in a negative light. Lee's research has resulted in a lot of attention from the media so you can read more about it on several websites including Time and The Irish Examiner.
