If interested in an unpaid apprenticeship in a psychology research lab for one academic term, consider one of PSYCH 264 or PSYCH 464. Either course is worth .5 academic units. Enrolment is possible Fall, Winter, or Spring term. Grading is on a credit (CR) versus no credit (NCR) basis. Note: PSYCH 264 can be taken before PSYCH 464, but PSYCH 264 cannot be taken if PSYCH 464 has been completed.
Further details:
PSYCH 465 is currently not available. The course involves a weekly seminar component plus an unpaid apprenticeship in an applied setting (other than human resources) in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. The course is worth .5 academic units. Grading is on a credit (CR) versus no credit (NCR) basis.
PSYCH 467 is currently not available. The course involves a weekly seminar component plus an unpaid apprenticeship in a human resources setting in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. The course is worth .5 academic units. Grading is on a credit (CR) versus no credit (NCR) basis.
Directed Studies courses (PSYCH 480-486) provide opportunities for students to work one-on-one with faculty members in an area of interest to the student. Enrolment is possible Fall, Winter, or Spring term. Grading is on a numerical grading basis.
PSYCH 480, 481, 482, 485, 486 (.5 academic units each) provide opportunities to study material that is not available in an existing PSYCH courses.
PSYCH 483 and PSYCH 484 (.5 academic units each) provide opportunities to gain additional research experience.

An application form is required for students with a cumulative psychology major average less than 82%. See the PSYCH 499 web page for further information. Students with a cumulate psychology major average of 82% or greater may self enroll.
