Available to Waterloo students enrolled in degree studies in the Faculty of Arts, and other faculties with some restrictions (see “Restrictions for Enrolling in an HRM Minor” below). The HRM Minor requires successful completion of a minimum of eight courses with a cumulative average of at least 70%. The HRM Minor includes courses required by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) towards the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) /Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designations.
Designed for individuals who are currently working in human resources who wish to expand and update their current skills, or those who desire to gain entry into this exciting field. The HRM Diploma requires successful completion of a minimum of eight courses with a cumulative average of at least 70% and can be completed on a full- or part-time basis. The HRM Diploma includes courses required by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) towards the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) / Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designations.

Note that the HRM Option, HRM Specialization for Psych Majors, and HRM Specialization for Arts & Business Majors were discontinued effective Fall 2012. Students enrolled in these plans may complete their current plan requirements, or, if enrolled in Waterloo courses Fall 2012 or later, may switch to the 2012 Minor requirements. Students switching to the 2012 Minor must complete all course and average requirements as indicated.
