Daniela O'Neill's research team has won the Editor's Award for their paper, Busy Toy Designs Reduce the Specificity of Mothers’ References to Toy Parts During Toy Play With Their Toddlers.  You can read more about the article in Waterloo Stories.

Each year, Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) recognizes and celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the association or the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology.   The CJSLPA Editor’s Award recognizes the best paper published in the past year in the Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. This year’s winning paper was co-authored by Daniela K. O'Neill, Taylor J. DeglintAshley McKinnonAngela Nyhout and Julianne Scott. All of Dr. O'Neill's co-authors were students in her lab, the Centre for Child Studies.
