Psychology Memorial Awards

The Psychology Department is pleased to award annually scholarships to approximately twelve Honours Psychology students for outstanding academic achievement, as funds permit.

The top student in Honours Psychology receives the Currie Scholarship, which is based on one of the oldest donations at the University of Waterloo.

The Psychology Memorial Awards honour:

  • Dr. Richard H. Walters, founding Chair of the Psychology Department and an eminent scholar in the field of child development.
  • Dr. M. Philip Bryden, a long-time faculty member and highly respected researcher on brain lateralization.
