The 2025 Faculty of Science Alumni Achievement Award ceremony celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of 8 accomplished alumni, and highlighted the impact of scientific discovery on shaping the world.
Student-built rockets take flight at Waterloo
Waterloo’s Rocketry team is gaining national attention for a liquid bi-propellant student rocket that soared to 38 thousand feet, setting a new apogee record for Waterloo Rocketry and for Canadian liquid rockets.

Professor Conrard G. Tetsassi Feugmo joined the department of Chemistry in 2022. His research involves machine learning and multiscale modeling to provide insight into the use and efficiency of advanced energy materials.
