Immigration Information Session: New PR Pathway for Graduated/Graduating International Students in Canada

Join Waterloo's immigration consultants to learn about IRCC's exciting announcement about new temporary pathways to permanent residency (PR). While there are several new pathways, one stream in particular is tailored for international students who have:

• completed their studies inside Canada, 
• demonstrated proficiency in the English or French language, and 
• and are currently employed inside Canada.

We would strongly suggest reviewing the temporary public policy in detail to find out if you're eligible. The public policy comes into effect on May 6, 2021 and will end on November 5, 2021 or once 40,000 applications have been received, whichever comes first. However, there will be no cap on applications for those applying through the French-speaking stream. 

Please note: 

• Due to the eligibility criteria, only students who meet the basic eligibility criteria for this one-time PR pathway can sign up for the session. Please only sign up if you are in Canada, and you:

  • Have recently completed your Waterloo degree
  • Are in your final term of your Waterloo degree, or
  • Completed a degree at an eligible DLI in Canada after December 2016 and you are currently a Waterloo student
• Due to COVID-19, this will be an online session. You'll receive a Microsoft Teams meeting link approximately 20 to 30 minutes before the session begins.
