Academic Support Options

Residence offers an environment that supports academic achievement by encouraging mutual respect amongst residents, specified quiet hours, and many free programs and services to help you succeed academically.

Drop-in Tutoring

Campus Housing drop-in tutoring is available for all University of Waterloo students. The drop-in tutoring program provides you with a welcoming environment where you can receive support and are encouraged to develop your academic skills. Each tutoring session is staffed by Tutors who are upper-year undergraduate or graduate students from the associated faculties.

For fall 2024 Drop-In Tutoring will be held in residence in the various residence Great Halls. Drop by to get help with specific questions or just get extra practice! Tutors will only be available to answer questions during the drop-in tutoring time. If you are seeking additional support outside of drop-in tutoring sessions, please contact your course instructor, Teaching Assistants, or faculty-specific resources.
