Move-In

SPRING 2023

Graduate & Optometry students: Monday, May 1, 2023 at until Monday, May 8  at midnight.  

  • Students moving in between May 9 – May 15 must complete a Late Arrival form or their contract will be cancelled.  The late arrival form will be available later in the winter term. Instructions on how to complete a late arrival form will be provided in your move-in email that you'll receive in March.  

  • Move-in details will be provided by email. Campus Housing will not be able to accommodate early move-in for the spring 2023 term. Please visit our short term accommodations list for more information.  

Student Families: Monday, May 1, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. (noon)

FALL 2023

Graduate & Optometry students: The move-in period begins on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.

  • The move-in period begins on Friday September 1, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. and you are not required to book a move-in appointment if you are arriving between September 1 and September 6. If you are moving in on September 1, please pick up your keys at the Welcome Tent.   
  • Campus Housing will not be able to accommodate early move-in for the fall 2023 term. Please visit our short term accommodations page for more information if you need to arrive before September 1 at 8:00 a.m.   
  • If you're arriving after September 1, you can pick up your keys from the Front Desk in the CLV Community. The front desk is open from 8 a.m. to midnight daily.   
  • If you are unable to arrive by September 6, you are required to select a late arrival move-in appointment. Click the button below to book your Late Arrival Time. Please book your Late Arrival Appointment by September 6.  
  • If you do not arrive by September 26, your contract will be cancelled. Regular cancellation process/penalties apply.  
  • For students arriving by air travel, there will be a shuttle service available from Toronto’s Pearson Airport to bring you to Campus when you arrive.  Please register here if you would like to take the shuttle.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Not sure what you should pack and what is best left at home during your studies? Refer to What Should I Pack list, with a printable checklist of what to bring (and what not to bring) whether you’re living in a traditional room or a suite. 

WHAT IF I NEED TO MOVE IN EARLIER?

Campus Housing will not be able to accommodate early move-in for spring 2023 term. The earliest date for spring 2023 move-in is May 1, 2023. Please see our short term accommodations options if you need to arrive before May 1, 2023.  

HOW DO I FIND LOCAL ACCOMMODATIONS?

Need extra time before moving in or have family and friends visiting? Our short term accommodations list has plenty of local options! 

Students who are travelling to campus and need to self isolate as per Public Health guidelines will need to do so prior to moving into residence.  Residence space can not be offered to students for this purpose. A list of options and resources can be found on the short term accommodations page that can help you find a place to stay during this time. 

Students can then make their own decision of the best accommodation option before moving into residence.  Students will be required to plan their own activities and make payment directly with the accommodation provider. 

Move-out

Students on graduate housing contract for fall 2023 who are moving out are expected to move-out of residence by December 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. 

  • NOTE: Consecutive students with a winter contract are not required to move out.

Student Families your move-out date is by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the termination date outlined in your most recent N11 form.  Please see refer to your terms and conditions for specific move-out details. *There are no exceptions to this move-out deadline. 

Reminder: Please be sure to change your mailing address or set up a mail forwarding service through Canada Post to ensure you can still receive your mail. 

Move-out Policies

  • Any student found to be residing in their room beyond the 24-hour policy will be charged $100 for every additional day. 
  • Failure to return your keys to your residence front desk will result in a $100 charge to pay for a lock change. 
  • Any items left behind will be disposed of which will result in a charge to your account.
