Campus Housing respects your privacy. 

Under the authority of the University of Waterloo Act, 1972, the University of Waterloo gathers and maintains information used for the purposes of admission, registration, and other fundamental activities related to being a member of the University community and enrolled in a public post-secondary institution located in the province of Ontario, Canada.  

The personal information processed by Campus Housing is done so for the purpose of operating University of Waterloo residences through applications, facilities, programs and services in compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), R.S.O. 1990, c. F. 31 as amended; and in accordance with the University of Waterloo’s policies (e.g., Policy 46), guidelines, and Notice of CollectionLearn more.

Campus Housing Information storage

We store personal information on the secure Office of Advancement database. This information is gathered from residence applications and contracts. The primary system used to collect and store student information within Campus Housing is Mercury. Other sources of personal information include student files from the Registrar's Office and Human Resources records.

The collection, storage, and disclosure of information contained in this database is consistent with the Province of Ontario's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
