Please join us in celebrating that Dr. Kate Ratliff has been named a Tier 1 SSHRC Canada Research Chair in Intergroup Attitudes! Kate is an Associate Professor of Psychology and the area head of social psychology.

Along with her CRC, she has also received a grant from the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund (CFI-JELF) to support her research infrastructure.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Ramona Bobocel on being recognized as the recipient of the 2025 Distinguished Contributions Award from the Canadian Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding and sustained contributions to the field of Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology in Canada. 

Waterloo researchers are receiving more than $32 million to support research as part of a $1.3 billion Government of Canada announcement for research across Canada.

The funding announced for Waterloo researchers includes support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Government of Canada’s New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF).

Dr. James Danckert and Dr. Marjory Phillips have been recognized with 2025 Arts Awards of Excellence in Research and Service, respectively. We look forward to celebrating with both James and Marjory at the 2025 Celebration of Arts event in the Fall. Congratulations, and thanks to the students and faculty who initiated these nominations!
