Please join us in celebrating that Dr. Kate Ratliff has been named a Tier 1 SSHRC Canada Research Chair in Intergroup Attitudes! Kate is an Associate Professor of Psychology and the area head of social psychology.

Along with her CRC, she has also received a grant from the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund (CFI-JELF) to support her research infrastructure.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Ramona Bobocel on being recognized as the recipient of the 2025 Distinguished Contributions Award from the Canadian Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding and sustained contributions to the field of Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology in Canada. 

Dr. Clara Colombatto is one of 26 researchers at the University of Waterloo to receive funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation.

Congratulations to Dr. Dillon Browne, University of Waterloo's new Royal Society of Canada College Member. 

A project led by psychology professor Dr. Stephanie Denison received more than $1.7 million in funding from the Templeton World Charity Foundation (TWCF). 

Waterloo researchers are receiving more than $32 million to support research as part of a $1.3 billion Government of Canada announcement for research across Canada.

The funding announced for Waterloo researchers includes support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Government of Canada’s New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF).

Congratulations to Dr. Geoffrey T. Fong on being named one of the 2025 inductees to the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.

Dr. James Danckert and Dr. Marjory Phillips have been recognized with 2025 Arts Awards of Excellence in Research and Service, respectively. Dr. Jonathan Fugelsang has just been named the 2025 CSBBCS Mid-Career Award winner.
