New Faculty Orientation: Winter 2021

Faculty members who started at Waterloo after (or who missed) the new faculty events in August and September are invited to an information session on January 29, 2021. Representatives from the Centre for Teaching Excellence and the Faculty Association will be there to share information and answer questions about starting your career at UW.

Navigating your first probationary term

FAUW runs a series of workshops each year to help faculty through key transitions in their academic career. This session is for faculty recently hired for their first probationary term and will cover the requirements and some advice for probationary renewal.

These sessions are designed to provide critical information on how to succeed and to ensure you know where and how to get your questions answered. The aim is also to provide clarity on the expectations of your peers and of university policy.
