Final admission conditions for Ontario high school students (fall 2026)

Most offers of admission have conditions you must meet before you can begin your studies at Waterloo.

A conditional offer of admission is based on the grades and information we had when we made our admission decision. Now we need to confirm you've met your conditions and are ready to start classes in September.

Check your conditions

Any conditions will be listed under the "Decision information" tab in your applicant portal account.

  • All conditions must be met by the date(s) specified in your applicant portal account.
  • It's your responsibility to meet any final conditions.
  • You'll receive your final grades before we do. Please ensure we receive your grade(s) by the deadline.
  • Be sure to check that all of the grades reported by your school are listed correctly on your OUAC account.

How do I know if I've met my conditions?

You've met all your conditions when you see green checkmarks beside each condition listed under the "Decision information" tab of your applicant portal account.

Ontario high students

Please ensure the OUAC has confirmation that you have earned your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). To check this, log into your OUAC account and confirm that “OSSD achieved (OSS)" is listed in your Diploma Status section.

If your Diploma Status is incorrect, please follow up directly with your school and ensure it gets updated right away.

What happens if I don't meet the conditions on my Offer of Admission?

We reserve the right to withdraw your Offer of Admission, residence, scholarships, and/or bursaries if you do not fulfill the conditions listed in the applicant portal.

If you don't think you'll meet your conditions, please email myapplication@uwaterloo.ca and we can discuss any possible options with you.

I received an offer of admission to iBASE or BASE. Can I submit a new English language proficiency test score for consideration?

Yes. The deadline to submit new test scores for iBase is June 5, 2026 and for one-term or two-term BASE is August 14, 2026.
