Submit your results

To be eligible for transfer credit, you must have your official transcripts and results sent directly from the issuing board/institution to Waterloo's Office of the Registrar. Transfer credit assessments are based on the course, grade, Waterloo program admitted to, and transfer credit maximums. If you're eligible for transfer credits, we'll email you with details.

Transfer credit policies

Advanced Level (A Level)

We recognize A Level courses as excellent academic preparation for university and will consider transfer courses for A Level courses in which normally a minimum final grade of B is attained.

Advanced Placement (AP)

We will consider transfer credits for AP courses in which normally a minimum final grade of 4 is attained.

Cambridge Pre-U diploma

We recognize the Cambridge Pre-U Diploma or a combination of Pre-U Principal Subjects with A-levels for admission consideration and will consider possible transfer credits for Pre-U Principal Subjects in which a minimum final grade of M2 or A-Levels with a minimum grade of B is attained.

Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE)

CAPE courses are excellent academic preparation for university. We will consider transfer credits for CAPE Unit 1 and 2 courses in which a minimum final grade of 2 is attained.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

IB courses are excellent academic preparation for success at university. We will consider transfer credits for individual Higher Level IB courses in which normally a minimum final grade of 5 is attained.
