If you've applied for admission and haven't heard back from us yet, hang in there! We'll be sending more offers of admissions over the next few weeks. 

For many programs, we wait for second semester midterm grades to better understand and compare the qualifications of students who have applied for admission this year. We'll receive these grades in late April and we'll have all offers of admission for high school students sent by mid-May.

For most kids, the dream is to hit the game-winning home run. For Jeremy Reesor (BSc ’12), it was to build the roster that made it possible. While his friends played baseball video games one game at a time, Reesor was simulating entire seasons, crafting lineups, and imagining what it would take to run a Major League team.

Today, as vice-president of Baseball Operations for the Toronto Blue Jays, that childhood passion has become reality.

Waterloo region ranks #7 in North America's top tech talent markets according to a new survey by CBRE, a global leader in commercial real estate. Jobs in tech roles grew 58% from 2021 to 2024, place Waterloo ahead of Vancouver, Montreal, and Ottawa.

Waterloo students are big contributors to the local tech market. With innovation hubs like Velocity and companies like Google, Apple, Amazon, and Square calling the region home, it's clear that Waterloo has earned its spot among the top ten tech talent markets in North America

In the recent Times Higher Education (THE) 2026 subject rankings, Waterloo once again ranks among the world's top universities.  

THE's subject rankings include the top 1,600 universities worldwide. Waterloo ranks

  • 162nd in the world (overall ranking),
  • 78th in engineering and technology, and
  • 41st in computer science.

Other top subject areas that rank among the top in the world include business and economics, medical and health, physical sciences, psychology, social sciences, life sciences, and arts and humanities.
